2004-10-06 | test resume and redirect | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-06 | Chih-Chung Chang reported that if you use CURLOPT_RESUME_FROM and enabled | Daniel Stenberg
CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, libcurl reported error if a redirect happened even if the new URL would provide the resumed file. Test case 188 added to verify the fix (together with existing test 99).

2004-10-06 | updates of today | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-06 | avoid warnings on systems with this member set const | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-06 | removed tabs and trailing whitespace from source | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-06 | Dan Fandrich fix for hosts that need both -lnsl and -lsocket | Daniel Stenberg

2004-10-05 | djgpp has basename() | Gisle Vanem
2004-10-05 | minor edit to re-use a variable and to hopefully avoid a (moot) warning | Daniel Stenberg
about code that won't be reached
2004-10-05 | recent fixes | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-05 | make the given path to --with-libidn override any other installation | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-05 | avoid warning for unused variable | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-05 | use idna_strerror() if it is available (only in libidn 0.5.6 or later) | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-05 | Only include libgen.h if we have a basename as well. | Daniel Stenberg
Mainly meant to deal with the IRIX case which seems to requrie a "-lgen" lib to find the basename function and thus without the gen lib, it finds the header but not the function and our replacement function has a prototype that doesn't match the IRIX one. A different approach would be to make configure detect and use -lgen for the systems that require it.
2004-10-05 | let our basename() be static | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-04 | name mix fix | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-04 | closing in on release | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-04 | Made the dns entry remain locked while a connection to the host remains to | Daniel Stenberg
allow verbose output during this period. Bertrand Demiddelaer reported and helped fixing.
2004-10-03 | set async.done to TRUE last in the addrinfo callback to prevent the risk that | Daniel Stenberg
the multi-threaded resolver does wrong
2004-10-03 | Replaced the use of isspace() with our own version instead since we have most | Daniel Stenberg
data as 'char *' and that makes us pass in negative values if there is 8bit data in the string. Changing to unsigned causes too much warnings or too many required typecasts to the normal string functions.
2004-10-03 | when building with libidn support, check for idna_strerror() which is | Daniel Stenberg
included in very recent versions
2004-10-03 | added info about how users get info (like the CURLcode return code) from | Daniel Stenberg
individual transfers | |||
2004-10-03 | removed trailing whitespace | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-02 | Gisle Vanem provided code that displays an error message when the (libidn | Daniel Stenberg
based) IDN conversion fails. This is really due to a missing suitable function in the libidn API that I hope we can remove once libidn gets a function like this.
2004-10-02 | removed weird preprocessor juggling not needed | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-01 | someone should hit me | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-01 | Aleksandar Milivojevic reported a problem in the Redhat bugzilla (see | Daniel Stenberg
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=134133) and not to anyone involved in the curl project! This happens when you try to curl a file from a proftpd site using SSL. It seems proftpd sends a somewhat unorthodox PASS response code (232 instead of 230). I relaxed the response code check to deal with this and similar cases.
2004-10-01 | fixed the basename() replacement, reported by Gisle | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-01 | mention when this option was added | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-01 | reflect the last few changes | Daniel Stenberg
2004-10-01 | - Based on Fedor Karpelevitch's formpost path basename patch, file parts in | Daniel Stenberg
formposts no longer include the path part. If you _really_ want them, you must provide your preferred full file name with CURLFORM_FILENAME. Added detection for libgen.h and basename() to configure. My custom basename() replacement function for systems without it, might be a bit too naive... Updated 6 test cases to make them work with the stripped paths.
2004-09-30 | - Larry Campbell added CURLINFO_OS_ERRNO to curl_easy_getinfo() that allows an | Daniel Stenberg
app to retrieve the errno variable after a (connect) failure. It will make sense to provide this for more failures in a more generic way, but let's start like this.
2004-09-30 | killed trailing whitespace | Daniel Stenberg
2004-09-30 | Günter Knauf and Casey O'Donnell worked out an extra #if condition for the | Daniel Stenberg
curl/multi.h header to work better in winsock-using apps.
2004-09-30 | Jean-Philippe Barrette-LaPierre made buildconf run better on Mac OS X by | Daniel Stenberg
properly using glibtoolize instead of plain libtoolize. (This is made if glibtool was found and used instead of plain libtool.)
2004-09-30 | --max-redirs is _not_ -Z | Daniel Stenberg
2004-09-30 | 48 - Harshal Pradhan's isspace() fix for 8bit cookie content | Daniel Stenberg
2004-09-30 | issue 47 - Peter Sylvester's patch related to the new SRP on the TLS layer | Daniel Stenberg
2004-09-30 | fix the multi.h too | Daniel Stenberg
2004-09-30 | added issue 45 "Chris' suspected race condition in the windows threaded | Daniel Stenberg
resolver" | |||
2004-09-30 | added five things I want fixed before the next release | Daniel Stenberg
2004-09-29 | Fixed an error message: we use CWD, we don't cd into dirs with FTP | Daniel Stenberg
2004-09-28 | Bertrand Demiddelaer fixed curl_easy_reset() so that it doesn't mistakingly | Daniel Stenberg
enable the progress meter.
2004-09-28 | - Henrik Stoerner fix: got a report that Tru64 Unix (the unix from Digital | Daniel Stenberg
when they made Alpha's) uses /etc/svc.conf for the purpose fixed below for other OSes. He made c-ares check for and understand it if present. - Now c-ares will use local host name lookup _before_ DNS resolving by default if nothing else is told.
2004-09-28 | recent stuff | Daniel Stenberg
2004-09-28 | made pkg-config not get used if a path is given with --with-ssl | Daniel Stenberg
2004-09-28 | Only active the engine code if ssl is enabled. This is how the actual engine | Daniel Stenberg
member in the struct is used.
2004-09-26 | - Henrik Stoerner: found out that C-ARES does not look at the /etc/host.conf | Daniel Stenberg
file to determine the sequence in which to search /etc/hosts and DNS. So on systems where this order is defined by /etc/host.conf instead of a "lookup" entry in /etc/resolv.conf, C-ARES will always default to looking in DNS first, and /etc/hosts second. c-ares now looks at 1) resolv.conf (for the "lookup" line); 2) nsswitch.fon (for the "hosts:" line); 3) host.conf (for the "order" line). First match wins.
