2008-09-05Improved the logic the decides whether to use HTTP 1.1 features or not in aDan Fandrich
request. Detect cases where an upload must be sent chunked and the server supports only HTTP 1.0 and return CURLE_UPLOAD_FAILED.
2008-09-05Removed after commit:Daniel Stenberg
158 - Martin Drasar's CURLOPT_POSTREDIR work: http://curl.haxx.se/mail/lib-2008-08/0170.html
2008-09-05- Introducing CURLOPT_CERTINFO and the corresponding CURLINFO_CERTINFO. ByDaniel Stenberg
enabling this feature with CURLOPT_CERTINFO for a request using SSL (HTTPS or FTPS), libcurl will gather lots of server certificate info and that info can then get extracted by a client after the request has completed with curl_easy_getinfo()'s CURLINFO_CERTINFO option. Linus Nielsen Feltzing helped me test and smoothen out this feature. Unfortunately, this feature currently only works with libcurl built to use OpenSSL. This feature was sponsored by networking4all.com - thanks!
2008-09-05five new recent issues to deal withDaniel Stenberg
2008-09-01remove 7.19.0 and hint that 7.19.1 might not come until novemberDaniel Stenberg
2008-08-30Added:Daniel Stenberg
165 - "Problem with CURLOPT_RESUME_FROM and CURLOPT_APPEND" by Daniele Pinau, recipe: http://curl.haxx.se/mail/lib-2008-08/0439.html
2008-08-29Removed one, added twoDan Fandrich
2008-08-29- When libcurl was doing a HTTP POST and the server would respond withDaniel Stenberg
"Connection: close" and actually close the connection after the response-body, libcurl could still have outstanding data to send and it would not properly notice this and stop sending. This caused weirdness and sad faces. http://curl.haxx.se/bug/view.cgi?id=2080222 Note that there are still reasons to consider libcurl's behavior when getting a >= 400 response code while sending data, as Craig Perras' note "http upload: how to stop on error" specifies: http://curl.haxx.se/mail/archive-2008-08/0138.html
2008-08-28Issue #144 seems to be complete. It should no longer be a show-stopper.Yang Tse
2008-08-28we need to look over what libcurl does (not) do when error is received when itDaniel Stenberg
wants to send data
2008-08-26Another task completed and removed from #144:Yang Tse
- Enabling and disabling of large file support is now complete.
2008-08-26Three tasks completed and removed:Yang Tse
- Logic based on CURL_SIZEOF_CURL_OFF_T and SIZEOF_OFF_T already adjusted. - Test case 557 already passes on all autobuilds. - System off_t, or equivalent, size is finally not recorded in curlbuild.h for this release. SIZEOF_OFF_T from config file is used.
2008-08-22161 - test case 1065 failure (HTTP PUT with one file but two URLs)Daniel Stenberg
http://curl.haxx.se/mail/archive-2008-08/0075.html
2008-08-22Removed issue #154 due to the massive problems I've had to repeat it and sinceDaniel Stenberg
this really hasn't bitten anyone else. The issuer of the report (Felix) suggested the closure himself and he will get back when (if?) he manage to get a more reliable way to see the problem. 154 - bug #2041827 "Segfault in http_output_auth w/ FORBID_REUSE (7.18.2)"
2008-08-21Old logic based on ENABLE_64BIT and HAVE_LONGLONG already revisited and ↵Yang Tse
adjusted. Old logic based on CURL_SIZEOF_CURL_OFF_T is only partially adjusted.
2008-08-18#159 and #160 already done.Yang Tse
Add more tasks to #144.
2008-08-16Added #159 and #160Yang Tse
2008-08-13Fixed:Daniel Stenberg
155 - bug #2038004 "Curl OpenSSL not compatible with 7.17 or 7.18" 156 - proxy CONNECT issue (details not public yet due to possible security impact)
2008-08-11152 + 153 are fixed!Daniel Stenberg
2008-08-11added two known topics for 7.19.1Daniel Stenberg
2008-08-11five more bugs I'd like to get fixed or at least considered before 7.19.0Daniel Stenberg
2008-08-11Old logic based on CURL_SIZEOF_CURL_OFF_T, ENABLE_64BIT, HAVE_LONGLONG,Yang Tse
has to be revisited and adjusted as appropriate. Enabling and disabling of large file support needs further inspection.

2008-08-05#148 Removed.Yang Tse
Rebooting the problematic system, releasing allocated memory and swap, has allowed buildconf and configure to complete sucessfully since then.
2008-08-04- Yehoshua Hershberg found a problem that would make libcurl re-use aDaniel Stenberg
connection with the multi interface even if a previous use of it caused a CURLE_PEER_FAILED_VERIFICATION to get returned. I now make sure that failed SSL connections properly close the connections.
2008-08-04- Test cases 1051, 1052 and 1055 were added by Daniel Fandrich on July 30 andDaniel Stenberg
proved how PUT and POST with a redirect could lead to a "hang" due to the data stream not being rewound properly when it had to in order to get sent properly (again) to the subsequent URL. This is now fixed and these test cases are no longer disabled.
2008-08-04Update #144Yang Tse
Third version of the patch fixing a failure to chose a proper data type submitted to the mailing list 2008-08-04.
2008-08-03- Test case 1041 (added by Daniel Fandrich April 14th) proved a bug where PUTDaniel Stenberg
with -C - sent garbage in the Content-Range: header. I fixed this problem by making sure libcurl always sets the size of the _entire_ upload if an app attemps to do resumed uploads since libcurl simply cannot know the size of what is currently at the server end. Test 1041 is no longer disabled.
2008-08-03Update #148Yang Tse
Rebooting the Solaris system, releasing allocated memory and swap, has allowed buildconf and configure to complete sucessfully. Further tests on the system might allow determination of the problem origin. Solaris AutoBuilds suceeded on August 2 and 3.
2008-07-31Second version of the patch addressing building outside of CVS treeYang Tse
submitted to the mailing list 2008-07-31. Awaiting Ok to commit.
2008-07-31#149 fully done and verified. Removed from here now.Yang Tse

146 - Yehoshua Hershberg's re-using of connections that failed with CURLE_PEER_FAILED_VERIFICATION 147 - PHP's bug report #43158 (http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=43158) identifies a true bug in libcurl built with OpenSSL.
2008-07-28I removed: "139 - Christopher Palow's CURLM_EASY_HANDLE_EXISTS patch" simplyDaniel Stenberg
because at the current point in time I think the benefit of adding that new return code is very slim and it is a lot of work to introduce new return codes (for docs and maintenance etc) I added "145 - Phil Blundell's CURLOPT_SCOPE patch/work" since I want it sorted/committed.
2008-06-08the next release is now called 7.19.0Daniel Stenberg
