2019-05-21examples: remove unused variablesMarcel Raad
Fixes Codacy/CppCheck warnings. Closes
2019-02-23examples: remove recursive calls to curl_multi_socket_actionDaniel Stenberg
From within the timer callbacks. Recursive is problematic for several reasons. They should still work, but this way the examples and the documentation becomes simpler. I don't think we need to encourage recursive calls. Discussed in #3537 Closes #3601
2018-04-15all: Refactor malloc+memset to use callocDaniel Gustafsson
When a zeroed out allocation is required, use calloc() rather than malloc() followed by an explicit memset(). The result will be the same, but using calloc() everywhere increases consistency in the codebase and avoids the risk of subtle bugs when code is injected between malloc and memset by accident. Closes https://github.com/curl/curl/pull/2497
2018-03-20examples/hiperfifo: checksrc complianceJay Satiro
2018-03-16examples/hiperfifo.c: improvedPhilip Prindeville
* use member struct event’s instead of pointers to alloc’d struct events * simplify the cases for the mcode_or_die() function via macros; * make multi_timer_cb() actually do what the block comment says it should; * accept a “stop” command on the FIFO to shut down the service; * use cleaner notation for unused variables than the (void) hack; * allow following redirections (304’s);
2017-09-11code style: use spaces around equals signsDaniel Stenberg
2017-05-19ghiper.c/hiperfifo.c: add comment about missing timer functionalityDaniel Stenberg
It takes someone to read up on the APIs of these libraries to figure out how to do this correctly. Reported-by: Michael Kaufmann Closes #1253
2016-12-13checksrc: stricter no-space-before-paren enforcementDaniel Stenberg
In order to make the code style more uniform everywhere
2016-11-24checksrc: white space edits to comply to stricter checksrcDaniel Stenberg
2016-04-03docs/examples: remove spurious white spaces all overDaniel Stenberg
... to please the new, slightly picker, checksrc.pl
2016-02-11examples: adhere to curl code styleDaniel Stenberg
All plain C examples now (mostly) adhere to the curl code style. While they are only examples, they had diverted so much and contained all sorts of different mixed code styles by now. Having them use a unified style helps users and readability. Also, as they get copy-and-pasted widely by users, making sure they're clean and nice is a good idea. 573 checksrc warnings were addressed.
2016-02-03URLs: change all http:// URLs to https://Daniel Stenberg
2015-10-04hiperfifo: fix the pointer passed to WRITEDATArouzier
Closes https://github.com/bagder/curl/pull/471
2015-06-18examples: more descriptionsDaniel Stenberg
2014-02-17examples: remove all use of CURLM_CALL_MULTI_PERFORMDaniel Stenberg
... since it is never returned since a long while back.
2013-03-10hiperfifo: updated to use current libevent APIDaniel Stenberg
Patch by: Myk Taylor
2011-03-10sources: update source headersDaniel Stenberg
All C and H files now (should) feature the proper project curl source code header, which includes basic info, a copyright statement and some basic disclaimers.
2010-12-18examples: socket type cleanupDaniel Stenberg
2010-09-30multi & hiper examples: updates and cleanupsDirk Manske
all multi and hiper examples: * don't loop curl_multi_perform calls, that was <7.20.0 style, currently the exported multi functions will not return CURLM_CALL_MULTI_PERFORM all hiper examples: * renamed check_run_count to check_multi_info * don't compare current running handle count with previous value, this was the wrong way to check for finished requests, simply call curl_multi_info_read * it's also safe to call curl_multi_remove_handle inside the curl_multi_info_read loop. ghiper.c: * replaced curl_multi_socket (that function is marked as obsolete) calls with curl_multi_socket_action calls (as in hiperfifo.c and evhiperfifo.c) ghiper.c and evhiperfifo.c: * be smart as hiperfifo.c, don't do uncessary curl_multi_* calls in new_conn and main
2010-03-24remove the CVSish $Id$ linesDaniel Stenberg
2008-11-19and now it compiles too!Daniel Stenberg
2008-11-19I updated this example to use the modern paradigms of the socket API whereDaniel Stenberg
*_socket_all() and *_socket() aren't used at all but only *_socket_action() is.
2008-05-22Fixed a surprising number of example programs that were passing int argumentsDan Fandrich
to curl_easy_setopt instead of long.
2008-05-19change the code style to be more curlish, and changed some of the outputDaniel Stenberg
to be more descriptive and finally set VERBOSE mode to 1 by default
2008-05-16removed lots of warningsDaniel Stenberg
2007-07-12Fixed some compile warnings and errors and improved portability in theDan Fandrich
examples. Removed ftp3rdparty.c since libcurl doesn't support 3rd party FTP transfers any longer.
2007-05-02- Jeff Pohlmeyer improved the hiperfifo.c example to use theDaniel Stenberg
CURLMOPT_TIMERFUNCTION callback option.
